A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking
by John Ford Noonan
April 17 - May 9, 1992
Directed by Kenneth Benton
There are many plays that
deal with adultery. Most of them are comedies. A few plays deal with the topic
in a very serious manner.
A
COUPLA WHITE CHICKS SITTING AROUND TALKING is not one of the serious ones - in
fact, I think it is probably one of the funniest plays ever written about
adultery. It is even written by a man, which I find very interesting. Here we
have a wacky couple of "White Chicks" who have a few things in common
- mainly that their husbands are complete jerks. For me, the story of this play
is how they deal with the situations that their husbands cause and/or create.
