Prelude To A Kiss logoPrelude To A Kiss
by Craig Lucas

September 3-25, 1993
Directed by Rhonda Clark

A romantic fairy tale, as well as a metaphysical thriller cleverly disguised as a light comedy which evolves into something dark and surprisingly moving. On one level the story concerns a couple who meet, fall in love, and get married. But at the wedding reception a mysterious old man asks to kiss the bride, and what began as a familiar comic romp turns into a penetrating examination of modern relationships.

Kenneth Benton, Debi Hall, Julia Self, and James Driskill in PRELUDE TO A KISS

"PRELUDE TO A KISS is a charming and highly original fantasy comedy about the wonder and confusion of love....Author Craig Lucas reveals a pragmatic romanticism and an enchanting daffiness in this modern fairy tale about the complications that befall two young lovers."   - Variety
