Life goes awry in a most abrupt way at St. Andrew's Hospital when a stodgy doctor awaiting his impending knighthood discovers to his amazement that he has an 18-year-old son by his former nurse.

The news couldn't be more untimely or unwelcome and the sudden family ties hardly warm the heart of the eminent physician.

The frenzy that follows spurs a perfect pace for the non-stop shenanigans that erupt around the hospital, ultimately involving doctors, nurses, patients, police, and even innocent bystanders.
